A good detergent is a must for all wash. At Mister Wash, we provide Free High Quality, Low Suds Detergent for all our wash programs.
On a regular basis, we receive enquiries about how to wash clothes more efficiently and effectively.
Here are some points to note when doing your laundry at Mister Wash:
Selecting the right size of Washer for your laundry
- When selecting the washer, load your laundry into your selected washer(s). If your clothes fill up two-third to three quarter of the machine, you are ready to go.
- Do not squeeze your laundry down to fit more in as laundry can be damaged during the wash cycle.
Selecting the right physical cleaning action for your laundry
-At Mister Wash, our machines are programmed to do Normal Wash, Gentle Wash, Double Wash and Curtain & Bedsheets Wash.
-We recommend Normal Wash for your everyday laundry made up of t-shirt, jeans, daily wear, etc.
-Gentle Wash at Mister Wash is programmed to spin less revolutions per minute and we recommend it for more delicate fabrics like lingerie, silk and garments that require more care.
-For the Double Wash program, our machines will provide 2 washes with our high quality, low suds detergent, followed by 3 rinses. We recommend Double Wash for thick and heavily soiled materials.
-Our Curtain & Bedsheets Wash will include a higher volume of water as well as ozone and softener to ensure that your curtains and bedsheets are sanitized and smell good after the wash.
Selecting the right chemical cleaning action for your laundry
-We recommend hot water for lighter colours as the heat can help remove dirt in lighter colour linens.
-We recommend room temperature water for dark colours, because the cold water reduces the amount of dye that runs from the linen so the colour of your laundry can stay fresh for a longer time. In addition, cotton items should be washed in cold water as they are less likely to shrink in cold water.
-Most importantly, we recommend the use of ozone so that our customers have clothes smelling fresh after washing with us.
What is Ozone?
Ozone is an inorganic molecule with the chemical formula O₃. It is a pale blue gas with a distinctively pungent smell.
Ozone is rather unknown in general, though it is one of the most effective natural cleaners.
Ozone binds and destroys odour molecules and oxygen is left over. In a short period of time, all odours are simply removed, leaving fresh air like after a storm.
When Ozone is used in laundry, it helps to remove odors and kill bacterial, and micro-organisms. Effectively, it is another form of sterilization and can take place in room temperature water. We recommend it for your coloured laundry as it helps keep the colour fresh while sanitizing the laundry.
